I agree that money can not buy happiness. Happiness is a sentimental thing that we can not buy or sell because it is created by love between people. For instance, my parents have had to work very hard to support for me while I am studying abroad. If they pay money for my study but I do not study hard, they will feel sad, and so do I. On the other hand, if I study very well and get good results, my parents will be very happy. I love them, so I try to study as well as I can to show that I love them and love me. However much money they have to spend, they always feel happy if I work hard and succeed. In fact, money is just an aspect to support for our lives but sometimes it might make our lives become worst. A specific example is a story about a man who won lottery with 250 million dollars. When he got money, he spent lots and lots of it for his granddaughter because he loves her very much. He bought for her many kinds of cars, and gave her money to spend for entertainment. Then she always did party, hung out with bad friends, and used drugs. One day, she died because she used too much drugs. Therefore, that man has been very sad and disappointed, and he wished he did not win that lottery. This is a true story, and it also proves that money is not the best thing to bring happiness. In conclusion, money can make your life become bad if you do not use it in the right ways.  

Sign language.

             Is ”Sign language” just used for the deaf people? No! the article “Sign language is popular with hearing students” (Seattle Post, February 20, 2003), by La Monica Verett – Haynes, proved that. The American Sign Language (ASL) classes have been very popular for many people. Even at Nova, we also have many classes about sign language. Just like the reason of a person in this article, I liked ASL for the first time i saw it because it “looked cool”. Then I forgot it until I saw my hearing friends did sign language expertly, and I wanted to know it. I learned some from my friends and at that time, I was really interested in and found the real reasons for me to learn more sign language. The first reason is I am a person who always wants to learn new things in many majors. There are many things which I don’t know, but the more I learn, the more i feel happy, because it gives me the thoughts that I’m improving me. In addition, I think my brain will be improved. In fact, it is not easy to do two or three actions at the same time. I am a foreign student, and I just learn English for a short time, but when I do sign language, I have to think about English, how to sign, and sometimes Vietnamese. It helps me train my brain very hard. I and my American friends often hang out and I have the chances to practice both English and sign language. For me, I don’t think and even don’t know if ASL can helps me about anything in the future, but I just want to do it to train my brain and improve me.

The only one person who has inspired me is Josh Groban. If you go back to my entries, you would see my entry about his famous song “To where you are.” I like Josh very much because he is very talented. Josh can sing in at least 4 languages, and he has performed in many countries. In 2004, Josh and his songs were nominated for more than a dozen awards. He sang with Celine Dion who is known as the greatest diva of the music when he was 17, and many other famous singers like Sarah Brightman, Charlotte Church, etc. Besides that, he performed in Inauguration Day of President Obama. In addition, he has a vocal and very powerful voice. His voice inspires people and brings the music to their souls. I had ever had an idol until I knew Josh Groban. The more I listen to his music, the more I feel life is so wonderful and i love to show you one more of his song “You are loved.”

I like Josh Groban-a very famous singer and songwriter in the world, so I want to introduce to you one of his greatest song, “To where you are”, music by Richard Marx, and lyrics by Linda Thompson. This song is a soundtrack in the movie ” P.S I love you”-a famous movie that i think you all have known. There are a lot of people who have been touched by the song. Its lyrics are so amazing, and have an invisible power. In addition, Josh’s great voice made it more wonderful. I love ”To where you are” very much, and I can listen to it everytime and everywhere. Anyways I hope you like it.

“Bring him home Santa” – an angel of my life.

       Your requirement is writing my responses about an article. I don’t know if the lyrics of a song are an article or not, but i hope they are, because i extremely want to write about my favorite song which has inspired me, “Bring him home Santa”, came out in 2006. ”Bring him home Santa” is about a wish in Christmas’ time of a little girl whose father is an soldier and was fighting in the war between America and Irac. The girl wanted to ask Santa to bring her father back home and be with her and her mother in Christmas. They missed him, wanted to see him, and hoped that he’s fine. Her wish was simple but honest, that’s why i love this song very much. The most important factor that makes the song emotional is the lyrics. When i read the words, i realized the plain and honesty inside them. I can feel that the lyrics was done from the bottom of Rory’s heart, a soldier and also the song’s writer. The words are simple, but contain a great meaning. In addition, the voice of the singer-Rory’s niece- a little girl, increased the emotion of the song. She sang the song like she was telling a story by her clear and loveable voice. The story is true. It’s a wish of many little girls who were waiting for their fathers. Besides that, its melody is very good and gentle. In fact, the melodious sound of the piano makes me feel happy. I feel lucky because i have known “Bring him home Santa.” It touched my soul and brought to me a feeling that i cannot say by words. The more I listen to it, the happier I feel. I hope there will be more and more people know it. For me, music has been a part of my life since i was a little girl, and “Bring him home Santa” is like an angel that makes me feel happy, and my life is more wonderful.

I love children, especially the babies, so I chose this picture. It was a sunny day, and 2 toddlers were sitting on the bench near by a window. The little girl is wearing very cute clothes, and so does the little boy. The girl was asking her friend about how to get some candies from her sister. The boy was surprised when he heard her plan. The children looked so innocence in this picture and make me miss my childhood and family.  The children are active, lovely, and always ask many fun questions. I can’t imagine how happy I am if I have a little brother or sister like them.

                                                  Unemployment Hits 9.4 Percent

              I like business, and it’s also my future major, so i chose the article: “Unemployment Hits 9.4 Percent” (New York Daily June 5th, 2009), by Jessica Pressler. This article talks about the rate of the employments who lost their jobs increased and hit 9.4%- the highest rate since 1983. The reason is because of the economic crisis of the U.S.  But the unemployment is increasing more slowly. In addition, the article is also the consolations and mobilizations for the unemployments. “Take your passion, and make it happen.” My question is: How to make it happen? Recently, i have seen lots of advertisements about earning money through the internet – jobs online, on many websites, are little by little developed. Some people used programs and have earned cash online  by checking emails and advertisements. I even saw on the internet that people can earn money when they sleep. I don’t know if it’s true or not. But is that a good way or a solution for the recession? Can it solve the big problem of thousands of people? And when can the unemployments get jobs, and the U.S. economy be stable? I wonder what the authorities would do. The biggest thing that we need to know is: When will the recession end? That’s the question mark which is waiting for the answer.
